THREE OF OUR FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO IN JOBURG OVER EASTER
HOWZIT, Easter is approaching which means a little more time to relax. If Jozi is your destination, then here are some of our favourite things to do.
Of course we are biased when it comes to this part of town, but it really is a great place to spend your day, trust us we’re here every day ;). Starting with brunch at one of the awesome eateries you can then take a relaxed stroll through the neighbourhood. If you come on a Sunday, the market has a great vibe, it’s worth checking out. During the week there are amazing shops to browse. One of our favourite places for an early dinner is Little Addis Ethiopian. After that, you can catch a show at Popart or go bar hopping around the area. One of the best things about Maboneng is the company – spend some time getting to know the neighbourhood’s residents. There are loads of stories to share and always a helping hand to get you settled in. Maboneng is the place of new experiences and new friendships.
Our city reaches further than the concrete jungle of Maboneng, Braamfontein and Newtown. Out on the far west of Jozi, Soweto has some of the best experiences to offer. We recommend a cycling tour through Lebo’s Backpackers, have lunch at one of the many authentic restaurants and spend some time at a museum or catch a show, or if you're an adrenaline junky, there’s also the prospect of bungy jumping down the Soweto Towers.
In the mood for something more relaxed? The Walter Sisulu botanical gardens are perfect for a day of outdoor games and a picnic.
A little further out of Jozi but definitely worth the drive, is The Cradle of Humankind Museum. Here you will find great activities for the whole family, such as exploring the caves and history of the space. There will also be lots of Easter egg hunts and activities over this period. Definitely a day well spent.
